Aiston Fine Arts Services was founded in 2002 by Mark Aiston. Mark is a well known figure in the industry having started his career in London in 1983, moving to New York in 1986. He held senior management positions at two leading companies before starting Aiston. The company has grown slowly and conservatively over the years, adding key personnel and moving into increasing larger and more appropriate warehouse and office space. Aiston currently runs 4 specialised trucks, has 4 climate-controlled warehouses, encompassing 30,000 square feet of storage and workspace. Aiston provides comprehensive transport and handling solutions. Our experience is worldwide.
Aiston Fine Art Services operates 4 trucks in the New York area. Each truck is equipped with air-ride, climate-control, GPS navigation and real-time tracking, as well as a comprehensive industry-standard alarm system. Each truck has a crew of at least 2, sometimes 3, as each job dictates. The duties of our trucks range from a daily roster of consolidated gallery and private pickups, to exclusive day or week-long projects, to trips to further fields such as Chicago, Boston or Philadelphia.

Aiston Fine Art Services uses its decades of experience in the art transport field to assess, identify and apply the correct mode of transport for each shipment, taking into account time-frame, budget and the fragility of the objects we are entrusted with.
SHIPPING
It goes without saying that proper protection of any fragile object is an integral part of ensuring their safety whist in our care, be they antiques, sculptures or paintings. Aiston Fine Art Services will properly assess each object on its own merits to ascertain the most appropriate packaging, taking into account budget, mode of transport and distance travelled. We stay current with industry standards as to the accepted methods of packing and the suitability of archival packing materials.

EXHIBITIONS
Aiston knows fairs. Our experienced crews have installed and de-installed at art fairs and antiques fairs for close to 20 years. Whether it be at The Piers in Manhattan, Art Miami, Expo Chicago or the venerable New York Winter Show, we understand the intricacies and the unavoidable deadlines and we can cope with what can often be an awkward work environment. Aiston has been consulted by show organizers as to logistics and planning and we remain the Official Shipper for the Winter Show at the Park Avenue Armory a position we have held for 17 years. For overseas exhibitors we can provide airport to fair services, including customs clearance, installation and temporary storage.
